The company is based on the firm technical
background of the work done by verteran crop
physiologist Late. Prof. U.K. Kanitkar and his
team for over a period of 30 years. Mr. Ravi
Kanitkar , a medical graduate joined his Father in
1977 and in 1990, Ms. Sandeepa Kanitkar , with
postgraduate degree in microbiology entered the
team. The technology and the products are
substantiated by 40,000 field trails in different
agro-climatic zones in India and abroad. The
company has well equipped production plant at
Nanded Phata, Near Pune. The research team
comprises of scientist having post graduate
degrees in micro biology and Agriculture. The
company is first of kind to introduce LIQUID
BIO-FERTILIZER As well as microbial foliar sprays.
In
our products, ability of our bacteria to form
dormant forms, as well as secretion of , plant
growth promoting substances, antifungal
metabolites, etc is taken into consideration.
After research for about two decades a new
process was invented by Krishi Tantra
Sanstha, the parent research
organization of Kumar Krishi Mitra Bio
Products (India) Pvt. Ltd. Pune by
which vegetative cells in liquid medium
wereinduced to from cysts - the dormant
forms by using various stimuli. The conditions
in liquid medium were kept in such a manner
that, regermination of cysts to normal
vegetative cells is not possible
The
process has acquired first and the only Indian
Patent in field of Biofertilizers
This research
process, patented by Mr. Ravi Kanitkar ,
has received Certificate Of Recognition from SICOM
in 1992 at the hands of the Governor HIS
EXCELLENCY C. SUBRAMANIUM (Kelkar award) and
the product have received the prestigious
G.S.Parkhe Industrial Merit Award
Recently on
the occasion of FIRST TECHNOLOGY DAY
observed by our country on 11
May, 1999 the technology was adjusted as 'Outstanding
Technology' and an award of Rs. 1,00,000
was conferred on the inventors Mr. Ravi
Kanitkar and Ms. Sandeepa Kanitkar at the
hands of Dr. Murlimanohar Joshi,
Hon'ble Minister , Science and Technology

based on this technology viz. BIOPLIN
, a liquid soil bacterial inoculant, VITORMONE,
a bacterial foliar spray,, and PHOSFERT,
a liquid soil inoculant containing phosphate
solubilising bacteria
